It’s my birthday and my husband asked me what I wanted a few weeks ago…I told him something really simple and he said “That’s it?” I had to think about it because that really was it. I’m not having a party this year; we’re partied out. What I planned was a hair appointment for me because I’ve just needed to go and family movie night to see How to Train A Dragon 2. (More about the movie here. We all loved it after seeing it.)
Late the night before my birthday, I was checking an email address that I needed to update and I saw this!
Keeping with tradition, I’ll be taking the boys along and my husband won’t be able to make this trip. I’m really sad about that but we’re adding grandma along for our fourth person. The boys adore her so we’ll have a great time. I’m not telling the boys about this trip until the very last minute but I KNOW we’re all going to make memories to last a lifetime. They even have Sesame Street themed activities in their onsite Kids Camp that are included in the all-inclusive room fee. The baby is in love with Elmo so I know he’s going to love it.
Our next step is figuring out how to pay for it. While I do receive a reduced rate as part of my conference registration fee, I will have to pay for my flights, passports to go, departure taxes and other incidental fees.
More about Turks & Caicos
Just over an hour southeast of Miami lies Turks & Caicos, a jewel-like strand of islands strung across indescribably turquoise waters. Like the islands themselves, Beaches’ all-inclusive resort in Turks & Caicos is renowned as “the last of the true exotics.” One glance at its crystal clear waters and 12 miles of powder white sand and you’ll see in an instant why Scuba Diving magazine named Turks & Caicos one of its top two diving destinations in the world, and why TripAdivsor chose the beaches of Providenciales as the best in the world.
Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa is home to a 45,000 square-foot waterpark; four magnificent villages, boasting the architecture and ambiance of Italy, France, the Caribbean and Key West; a 12-mile beach lapped by clear turquoise waters; 19 restaurants and bars; endless fun activities for everyone, from tots to tweens and teens, featuring Sesame Street characters, the new Xbox® Play Lounge and a sizzlin’ teen disco, Liquid at Beaches – all located on one of the world’s best beaches.
