I’m all about challenges. The latest one is completing the Disney Princess Half-Marathon in February 2014. This will be my second time attempting it. (The first time I would have been about 6 months pregnant so I dropped out.) The flaw in this plan is that I didn’t register in time and now the only registrations available are those from charity organizations. For these entries, I’d have to fundraise from $600 and up in addition to the $160 entry fee. I’m undecided if it’s truly worth it.
I really do want to complete this race. I’d be completing it with a great friend of mine to celebrate our “milestone” birthdays. She’s celebrating one in the coming June and I had one last June, so it would be a great way to really close out this chapter in my life. I’d hopefully get rid of my extra weight and most importantly to me, get fit. I have decided that I will start the training and then worry about how I’m going to complete the race as it gets closer. Maybe I won’t complete the Disney Princess but I am going to complete a Half-Marathon before my next birthday.
Now I just have to get running! I think I neglected to say that I can’t really run a mile at this point. BUT I do have some time to train. J
