My family was recently invited to an advance screening of the newest Ice Age: Collison Course and we loved it! All of our favorite characters are back including Scrat the squirrel and his love for the elusive acorn, Manny, Ellie and Peaches, Sid and Diego. This time Scrat is the one who’s responsible for the confusion that threatens the planet and the herd has to make correct his mistake. There are a few new characters as well for us to love and there’s even a wedding in the works!
My 8 year old literally started laughing within the first 2 minutes of the movie and did not stop until we were home. AND he started up laughing again when he was telling my husband a story again. He said that it was “the best of the summer…and so funny.”
Ice Age had enough action that it kept my 4 year old’s attention the full movie and he laughed the whole way. I need to say that he’s not the biggest movie fan, so this is how I know that it’s a good movie!
I loved it because it’s a true kids movie, there was no real innuendo for me to explain (Grandma does have a few comments but my son didn’t ask for me to explain anything) but it was still smart enough to keep my attention as well.
Here’s the movie synopsis:
