What’s the best way to celebrate summer vacation and school being out? A trip to Six Flags Over Georgia can certainly make the list. I’ve shared multiple times why I’m a fan of Six Flags however they keep adding new things that can keep me coming back! As they celebrate their 50th anniversary season in 2017, here’s the update on their newest ride, JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis, and why you can keep coming back
New at Six Flags Over Georgia in 2017 – JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis
Justice League is a full-sensory journey where guests can battle alongside BATMAN™, SUPERMAN™, WONDER WOMAN, THE FLASH and GREEN LANTERN against Lex Luthor, The Joker and his henchmen. I’m looking forward riding it for the first time next week but it opens on Friday, May 26, 2017; just in time for the Memorial Day holiday fun!
What makes this ride unique is that it’s a 4D ride with wind, fire, mist, fog and animatronic characters. This sounds like it’s similar to the rides at Universal Studios, which is one of our absolute favorite places! Extra bonus: It all takes place INSIDE the 22,000 square foot HALL OF JUSTICE so you don’t have to worry about the sun or rain.
Coaster Candy Store
Along with the new Justice League ride, Six Flags Over Georgia is rolling out their new Coaster Candy store. This store features all your favorite theme park treats near the front entrance of the park. It’s perfect for the last minute souvenirs you’ll be taking out the door. On the menu: chocolate dipped marshmallows, gourmet chocolate dipped pretzels, candy apples and homemade fudge, among other sweet treats.
DC Super Friends
The DC Super Friends area is open and ready for summer too! If everyone in your family isn’t ready for the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, be sure to check out the DC Super Friends zone.
My kids loved it all of 2016 with The Batcopters, Superman Tower of Power and Wonder Woman Flight School. All of these rides don’t have height requirements so they’re perfect for the family to enjoy together.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
Hot summer days are perfect for a cool-off in the Hurricane Harbor area. This water park within the amusement park is included in your Six Flags admission so be sure to bring your swimsuit. There is 38,000 square foot wave pool and the world’s first Tsunami Surge water slide for the thrill seekers in the family. For the littlest members of the family, be sure to check out the Paradise Island retreat. There are plenty of smaller water slides and splash areas so they can cool off as well.
